In order to achieve the above the person is responsible for executing the designs strategies of the respective brands in the category handled through:

Studies & suggests fashion forecast from WGSN, STYLESIGHT to understand upcoming trends.

Provides inputs to prepares R&D Design, R&D Fabrics, R&D Graphics and R&D Cads (Checks & Prints), based on the intense research & analysis.

Analyzes the market trends / competition to understand current business scenarios w.r.t fashion opportunities for formulating the next season’s fashion forecasts.

Provides inputs to senior designers for developing concepts for coming season, suggests designs for season wise collections and designs fabrics & trims and for developing mood boards, color palettes and new fits & silhouettes.

Ensures the tech-packs are prepared and discusses the same with vendors & buyers during sampling process.

Manages Studio to meet the design requirements (Ethnic wear category).

Visits & gives approval to the vendor, along with the buyers, during sampling process in order to ensure product quality and specifications.

Visits printer / embroidered agency so as to meet the sampling deadline & quality (Ethnicwear category).

Visits Westside stores & Comp Shops to ensure product competitiveness and to understand various brands, new trends, competitor’s product-mix, pricing, display etc.
